Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I have to be to create a campaign?

You must be at least 13 years old to create a campaign. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must approve your campaign and help manage the funds.

What fees does ChannelCast Fund charge?

We charge a 5% platform fee on successfully funded campaigns, plus payment processing fees (about 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction). If your campaign doesn't reach its goal, you pay nothing.

What happens if I don't reach my goal?

We use an "all-or-nothing" funding model. If you don't reach your goal by the deadline, all supporters get refunded and you won't be charged any fees.

How long can my campaign run?

Campaigns can run from 7 to 90 days. Shorter campaigns often create more urgency, but longer campaigns give you more time to spread the word.

How do I receive the funds?

Once your campaign successfully ends, funds are transferred to your linked bank account (managed by your parent/guardian if you're under 18) within 7-10 business days.

What kind of projects can I fund?

Almost anything positive and legal! School projects, sports equipment, art supplies, community service, small businesses, creative projects, and more. All campaigns are reviewed to ensure they're appropriate.
